Travel to USA or Canada and Avoid Travel Ban

People who travel frequently to the USA are US citizens and do not need to obtain a visa to enter the country, if the visit doesn’t exceed a period of ninety days. Rather, they should obtain an ESTA and then follow the necessary procedures. However, if the trip is intended to result in a year-long or longer stay, the visitor will most likely be required to obtain a visa. This is a situation that occurs quite frequently. The reasons for this are not especially relevant, but the process can be rather complicated.

One of the primary ways of going between the various American states is by using a road or air route. Some of the ways are via bridges, tunnels and by air. However, all journeys by air or over bridges require you to have a passport. When traveling through the United States to Canada or Mexico, some of the traffic is controlled by the customs and what is known as “lorry traffic” on the highways.

When visiting the USA without a Visa, the travellers need to use an Electronic Entry System, also known as an EIS. All travel within the USA requires you to have an Electronic Entry System, also referred to as an EPIS. Some countries, such as Canada and Mexico do not require an Electronic Entry System to travel between them, but many do. It is up to each traveller to determine which system they require to have. Otherwise, failure to have one could result in problems during the travel process.

For those travelling from the EU, or other countries that are not part of the USA, or are not authorized to enter the country without a visa, there are other options to consider. Some of these include: Visas or Student Examinations (VISA) – if you are travelling with the purpose of study, or for an education-related reason, you can obtain a Student Examinations Visa or Student Examinations Insurance. These are available from the International Organization for Immigration (OIE).

Visas provide proof of identity and can be valid for three months to one year. Student Examinations are a different type of Visa and only last for 90 days to one year. The OIE website has a link to help you find a Student Examinations Visa. A Student Examinations Visa is not a permanent visa, but can be used to enter the United States for up to one year. You must be eligible, however, to stay in the United States. The OIE website can help you find out if your educational institution accepts the Visa.

An Insurance plan provides proof of citizenship and covers you in the event of an accident while traveling from the USA to Canada or the United States and any other country. It also covers you in the event of an illness while traveling to the USA from Canada or the United States. The plan usually costs twenty-five dollars or more for a single trip and can be renewed for additional costs. To check if you qualify for this insurance, you can visit a United States Citizen Services site. If you are travelling between the United States and Canada, you will need a passport to leave the port of origin.

This information should help you navigate your way through the process of planning your next trip to the USA or Canada. No matter what type of trip you’re planning on taking, be sure to check the security measures of each US border before setting foot at any port of entry. If you’re travelling across the oceans to the Oceana Cruise or the Alaskan Cruise, you’ll need a passport for your travels through both countries.

Although we have given some general advice to plan your next trip out of the USA or Canada, it is important to be aware that US laws are constantly changing with regards to security. There are still many security checkpoints to cross when traveling to the USA or Canada. It is best to become familiar with all the required procedures when crossing the US border. For this reason and many others, a ninety-day travel ban on all these borders is a must for anyone attempting to successfully travel the United States or Canada.
