Travel to USA

Whether you are interested in learning more about traveling to the USA or if you want to make a trip to the country as a vacation, there are several ways to travel to the USA. From free entry days to insurance, you will find information on the various options that are available to you.

Can Europeans travel to the USA now?

Until recently, Europeans could not travel to the USA directly from the Schengen states. But the US announced that it would lift this ban in early November. This is good news for Europeans, who had been worried that they might not be able to travel to the US for another two years.

The new rules are similar to the EU’s system, but require all visitors to be fully vaccinated. This includes children and adults who are traveling as part of a family. However, there are exceptions.

The US has determined that some travellers will be allowed to travel to the United States, even if they have been vaccinated against coronavirus. This is called the National Interest Exception. The Department of Transportation is determining which travelers will qualify for this exemption.

The US will form task groups with Mexico, Canada, and other countries. This will allow them to enforce additional testing.

The US has also announced that Europeans who have been vaccinated against the disease will be allowed to enter the USA, but will need to submit a negative PCR COVID-19 test before boarding their flights. They will then be required to stay in quarantine for five days after arrival.

Free entry days are available in the USA

Luckily for those of us in the US, the National Park Service (NPS) is a good steward of our shared lands. The granddaddy of all federally administered parks and preserves, the NPS is responsible for operating 423 sites in over 400 states, territories and the District of Columbia, which are spread out across the country. While the majority of these sites are free, the most enlightened amongst them do require a small fee for the good stuff. Fortunately, the NPS is not one to be trifled with. The best way to experience its offerings is to eschew the beaten path and get out and about. There are many great parks, ranging from the aforementioned Montauk to the far more remote, albeit a more challenging to reach locales like Yosemite. Regardless of the location, the US is a treasure trove of wonders and you will never be short of something to do. The NPS is a worthy partner to the rest of us in the pursuit of the perfect pastime, and it is the best place to start.
