The United States Department of State requires citizens of the United States to have all of the necessary traveling documentation when attempting to enter, leave, or enter from Canada into the United States, or into any European country. This documentation includes a confirmation of immunization against a specific disease that was received by the applicant during the course of the applicant’s travel to or within the European country. The Department of State additionally requires information about the applicant’s currency trading activities and any violations of any restrictions imposed by the United States on currency transactions. If the applicant does not have all of the necessary documentation needed for visa approval, an independent agent may be appointed to handle the applicant’s paperwork until necessary documents are received and processed. If at any time questions regarding an applicant’s citizenship or nationality arise, the applicant can submit an application for adjustment of status in advance of a travel date scheduled by the Department of State. If these requirements are not met in time, the applicant may be subject to inadmissibility at the airport or port of entry.
