Studying in USA – How to Study For US Visa

Travel to USA can be exciting and fun but it should not be accompanied by complacency and lack of planning. There are many things that should be kept in mind while traveling to USA. Below mentioned are the things to remember for a pleasurable and trouble-free vacation.

Travel to USA

Visa: Every nation has its own set of rules regarding immigration and it is essential to know them before travelling to USA. For example, for those who want to travel with their family members, it is mandatory to apply for family visa before travelling. In order to avoid getting trapped with unimportant and irrelevant questions, you should carry along a good book with you to answer them. Similarly, those who want to visit USA without any visa, for shopping or for any other purposes can also visit the consulates of the concerned country and acquire visa according to their requirements. On getting visa, one should continue to maintain them appropriately so that they can use them when required.

Travel Insurance: Like medical insurance, travel insurance covers delay or cancellation due to weather, flight cancellations, and other unforeseen circumstances. There are many companies that provide extensive travel insurance coverage for short and long duration. According to your convenience, you can book flights, hotel rooms, and car rentals in advance with the help of a reliable travel agent. A comprehensive insurance package can save you a lot of money in future as well.

RT-PCL Test: Before travelling to USA, it is important to become familiar with the requirement of RTA ( repatriation visa) for citizens of USA. It is mandatory to get RTA prior to travelling to USA whether by air, sea, train or bus. You need to get your RTA three months prior to departure. To get an application form for RTA, you can approach the USDOS (U.S. Department of State) visa office at San Francisco Bay area or Laredo Visa Office. RT-PCL is a three-step verification procedure, which requires you to furnish answers to essay questions and to pass a covid-19 test. If you fail the test, you will not be eligible to obtain RTA for your tourist purpose.

RT-PCL also requires you to pass a written fluency exam for processing visa on arrival. This is known as “Rte-PCL”. You will find two options for passing the Rte-PCL exam: online or walk-in study sessions. The former is recommended if you cannot reach US to take the test. In case of the latter, you need to visit at least three drive-through testing centers for three consecutive days for passing the covid-19 test.

Before getting tested for RTA, you must contact the USDOS. The USDOS will send you a letter about your eligibility to get tested for RTA. However, please note that you have to contact USDOS well in advance to ensure your smooth processing for RTA. Once you are approved to get tested for RTA, you need to purchase plane tickets for arriving on your selected date.

Before you purchase plane tickets, you need to find out whether your test is administered by the Regis University or by one of the other accredited colleges. It is important to note that exam scores are confidential. Keep in mind that to pass the test, you should be at least 18 years old.

After purchasing plane tickets and getting your passport, you must follow the instruction given to you at the point of purchase. You will need to fill out the application form, providing necessary information. You will receive an electronic order receipt after completing the form. Then you should wait for two weeks at the Passport and Border Control before you can start your exam. After passing the exam, you should receive a three-year visa card.
